Ok first of all, watch Episode 168 at the beginning it says that their skipping that story for now to tell another one.. MEANING it’s time for fillers while they wait for the manga to get further ahead.. second of all as far as Rukia and Chad go.. without spoiling too much, they aren’t dead.. so sit back, relax, and enjoy the filler..

Both Kenpachi and Byakuya are strong, but Kenpachi is more fearless compared to Byakuya. But I think Byakuya is stronger than Kenpachi because Kenpachi doesn’t even know his Zapakutou’s name..There is no way he can get stronger with his alone strength. I haven’t seen Byakuya using all of his strength to defeat anyone, not Ichigo, not Kariya.. He hasn’t used everything he has got.. But on the other hand, Kenpachi has used all of his reiatsu in the fight with Ichigo.. In my opinion, Kenpachi is so strong because he doesn’t fear anything.. but I think, “will he feel sad if Yachiru has died?” I don’t know..
Even Byakuya looks so cool, he feels sad when Hisana died..
But I think Ichigo is strongest.
Because he has the strongest desire to fight, more than Kenpachi
The strength come with the desire to protect is the greatest strength, the desire to fight for fun cannot compare to that. That’s why Vietnam has defeated America in the History. So Ichigo>Byakuya>Kenpachi

This episode is working… I still don’t get it though. Ichigo beats GrimmJaw and then all of a sudden it skips to this? Thats kinda weird, plus weren’t Rukia and Sado dead?
